Homecoming excitement featured the crowning of Gordy Pokorny, 3rd year BSPS with a concentration in pre-med, as the 2003 Homecoming King!
Alumni enjoyed a campus-wide banquet and ceremony, followed by a College of Pharmacy Wine & Cheese Reception.
Dr. Jules Schwartz ’72 and Douglas Sheasley ’77 received the Distinguished Alumnus Award; and Doni Miller, CEO of the Neighborhood Health Association, received the Norman F. Billups Distinguished Service Award from Dean Early and UT President Dan Johnson.
There was plenty of laughter as the Classes of 1953 and 1978 received 25 and 50-year anniversary certificates.
Jo Anne (Astorino) Nally ’78 was among the alumni who shared their memories at the podium.
Alumni and friends packed the box to watch the Rockets beat Eastern Michigan 49-14.
Alumni stayed through Sunday for the continuing education program exploring "Bugs & Drugs ~ Interactions that Need Your Vigilance," with discussions on SARS, West Nile Virus, harmful drug/herbal interactions, and pharmacy law.
