Pharmacy Residency Programs
"Learn it, do it, teach it"
Our Mission
The mission of the College of Pharmacy Residency Programs is to provide outstanding residency opportunities that will allow pharmacists to advance their careers. Guiding principles are personal integrity, respect for humanity and professionalism.
Profile of the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy
Founded in 1904, the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy has a long history of producing successful pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists--more than 3,000--many of whom have become leaders in business, industry and academe. During the past 15 years, the College has markedly increased nationally competitive research funding and has developed a reputation for training pharmaceutical scientists at the masters and doctoral levels. During the past two decades the College scholarship endowment has grown to its current value of greater than $1 Million. The College began operations in its new facilities in Wolfe Hall in January of 1998 and the professional programs were re-accredited in the spring of 1999. These measures of success help position the College to assume a more nationally prominent role in pharmaceutical education. In 2006, UT and the regional medical college merged. UT is one of only 3 universities in Ohio with both a pharmacy and medical school. With schools of pharmacy, medicine, nursing, and allied health, this is an excellent combination for academic success and interdisciplinary focus.
