The Department of Pharmacology graduate program offers the M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences within the fields of Pharmacology and Toxicology. The program provides training for careers in research and development within the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, in governmental regulatory agencies and environmental toxicology. Training in the pharmaceutical sciences also serves as a gateway for entry into doctoral programs.
Currently (2007-08), 10 students are enrolled in the Pharmacology/Toxicology option. Over 75 students graduated from the program between 1976 and 2007. Many graduates hold jobs within the pharmaceutical industry or academia. Several have sought training in doctoral programs at other universities.
