Pharmacy Administration focuses on the corporate and managerial aspects of the pharmacy profession. Students may earn one or two minors from the College of Business Administration in addition to the B.S.P.S degree. There are many options under this major such as Business Administration Minor; Professional Sales Minor; International Business Minor; Business Administration Minor and Professional Sales Minor; International Business Minor and Business Administration Minor; Business Administration Minor and MBA Track; Professional Sales/Business Administration Minors and MBA Track; and International Business/Business Administration Minors and MBA Track. With one year of additional graduate study, students in the MBA Track options can receive a Master of Business Administration degree.
Career Opportunities: Pharmaceutical sales is one of the fastest growing careers in the country. The Pharmacy Administration major prepares students for careers in pharmaceutical sales, and management positions in the pharmaceutical industry, corporate and retail pharmacy offices, pharmacy education, government agencies, and health care administration. Students are encouraged to pursue graduate studies in business or pharmacy administration.
Salary: Starting salaries generally range between $30,000 to $50,000 depending on career path and qualifications of the applicants.
